Exellent! - its well worth ditching the DPF! The EGR is a system for recycling the exhaust gasses into the inlet, EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation, in theory it helps the emmisions and to get the car into a lower tax bracket - unfortunately in practice it contaminates the inlet (manifold and EGR housing/ often some of the boost hoses etc, depending on the design) with carbon/ soot from the Turbo can be removed from the manifold without removing the manifold. There's three bolts which hold the turbo in place. P. pilch76 Discussion starter. 25 posts · Joined 2019. #9 · Jan 5, 2021. Well I finally got round to doing this today.
